My Murdoch Experience
My Murdoch Experience
In 2009 I took my then-16-year-old son to a Murdoch Open Day. What I saw so impressed me, I immediately went home and enrolled in Bachelor of Education - Early Childhood to Year 7.
And, despite my own opinion of myself, they accepted me!
In 2010 I began my learning journey. I only managed one semester before family and health problems took priority, but having earned 2 Distinctions, I was determined to get back.
And here I am. This semester I've re-enrolled and will be taking on another two units, this time EDN 113 - Living and Learning with Technology and FDN 102 Food for Thought.
I've been to one lecture of each and so far I'm hooked on both. Late last year my beloved husband organised this site for me but I really couldn't see any reason to build it. What on earth could I say that would entice people to my site, apart from adding news about stories sold? So, I added my biblio and a few reviews then promptly forgot about it.
Now, I'm back. I'm reinvigorated. I'm going to be documenting my journey here, adding links and a blog. Yes, a blog. While I do have a livejournal, I've let my old Battersby blog and Triffitt blog go by the way side. Well, a new one is starting and it will be about everything that matters to me: study, Lee, the kids, my health and fitness, my spirituality and my reading/viewing habits. Yes, they're all on the site too, but the blog will be more personal and more comprehensive. So sit back, put your feet up, and dig in.
